The Event
The Developing Nation Ltd: Developing Diva’s Conference is a one-day event for women in business, whether it be women with their own business or simply women based in a business environment, designed to instil in them a new sense of passion and determination to drive their business forward. Interactive workshops and inspirational speakers will heighten motivation, create focus and re-align business goals and objectives. The main focus of the event being a knowledge share.Women approach business differently to men and often embrace the personable aspect of business in an organic, authentic and transparent manner without the need to harden their appearance or attitude.
This event will gather the best of the best of Women in the Scottish Business sector and provide a platform for them to share their experiences and offer invaluable advice to women looking to step up their game and realise their full potential. A fundamental part of ‘The Conference’ will be to provide excellent networking opportunities so that delegates can create vital business links and opportunities with other women in business across Scotland. A Speed Networking session will provide an excellent opportunity for establishing these invaluable connections, as well as being highly energetic, informative and fun! We guarantee delegates will leave with a wealth of contacts. Delegates will be invited to develop a 30 second pitch to bring along to the Conference to use as a promotional tool for themselves/their business during the networking session and we would highly encourage they utilise this option in order to get the most out of the session and reap maximum benefits.
Some of Scotland’s most inspirational and successful business women will be sharing their stories with delegates at the Conference and these highly inspirational women will share their passion for business and their personal achievements, leaving delegates motivated. There will be a number of workshop sessions throughout the day to maximise the benefits for all delegates. The dedicated event website www.developingdivas.co.uk will serve as an information portal for sponsors, delegates, and interested parties. It will act as a central hub of information with regular updates being posted. It will also be where delegates will be invited to secure their place and select which workshops they wish to attend.
We will also be launching the ‘Distinguished Diva’ Awards, details of which will be unveiled on the day, and which are scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2011. Sponsors will be in a privileged position in that they will be privy to these details prior to the event and will have first or preferential refusal to be involved. However, delegates will be the first to be given the chance to nominate friends, colleagues or acquaintances for these Awards.
The Developing Diva’s Conference will take place at The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on Friday 1 October, 2010 and we hope to attract between 200 and 400 delegates. We have gone above and beyond to ensure added value for delegates and also some special features guaranteed to make this the business experience of the year (until next year when we do it all again!).
